Problem: Public opinion research shows that New Yorkers want to get involved in local politics, but don’t know their options or how it affects their day-to-day life. So how do we educate and rally residents to vote in New York City elections?
Our Impact: The most recent campaign, launched in October of 2019, promoted Early Voting, a new voting option available to all New Yorkers. This follows a long-running print, video and social media campaign, "Vote for the City You Want," that first began in 2017, showcasing diverse New Yorkers speaking out on their biggest regional issues and why their vote matters. This campaign was the first to promote the city's Voter Guide on the voting.nyc microsite. Since then, the campaign has been relaunched and customized to promote Public Advocate, Queens District Attorney, and most recently, Early Voting.
