The Challenge: Every day, there are New Yorkers who struggle with depression, anxiety and many other issues with no one to turn to. Many people will be willing to help their friends, family members or co-workers struggling with mental health issues, but they don’t know what to do or say.
Our Impact: We created a fun, animated awareness campaign to promote free Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training courses, encouraging people to talk to others about mental health issues. Each ad, in English, Spanish, and Chinese, illustrates a common scenario where MHFA training could benefit. With brightly animated videos and comic strip-like print ads, we clearly show how choosing the best words can make a big difference. From a mom talking to her secluded teenage daughter, to a co-worker approaching another co-worker dealing with stress, MHFA training can be beneficial for everyone.
