The Challenge: Voting in 2020 ended up looking a little different during COVID-19. Due to the pandemic, all New Yorkers were able to vote in the election by absentee ballot. A new campaign needed to be executed quickly to inform all New Yorkers of how to request a ballot and what to expect.
Our Impact: We worked quickly with the New York City Campaign Finance Board to develop a campaign promoting the absentee ballot vote by mail option available to all New Yorkers during the COVID-19 pandemic. These video and social media ads explained the application request process and how to vote safely during this time. Along with this absentee campaign, we also developed multiple digital and social media ads encouraging New Yorkers to stay connected to up-to-date information by signing up for text and email election updates and reminders.
