The Challenge: The NYC Medical Reserve Corps is a trained group of over 9,000 health professionals ready to respond to health emergencies, like COVID-19. From administering antibiotics and vaccines during city-wide emergencies, to helping with routine blood pressure checks at public health fairs, NYC MRC volunteers are an asset to the health and well-being of New York City and NYC needed to recruit more.
Our Impact: We worked with NYC Health to create an awareness and recruitment video for the program website. This video explains what MRC is and does through the eyes of current volunteers. Our team attended multiple public health fairs and interviewed numerous volunteers, including the program director and City’s Health Commissioner. This film was selected for screening during the American Public Health Association (APHA) Film Festival at the APHA's Virtual Annual Meeting and Expo.
